Not exactly an exciting post. Oh, well - not every post is going to shake the rafters. There's nothing really exciting about Lisa Wilson-Foley contributing to two of Democrat John Larson's campaigns - is there? Well, unless I suppose you were Larson's Republican opponent, I guess.
If Republicans in the 5th Congressional District were looking for reasons to disqualify a candidate in an overcrowded field - perhaps giving money to one of Congress' biggest liberals just might be a good one. Does anyone know if Wilson-Foley ever explained why she forked over cash to liberal Democrat John Larson?

Informing the public of the political donations of our current candidates to the Senate and House is helpful to the voters in the upcoming primaries. Equally or more important is the voting record of those who have served in Congress or the State Legislature. What percentage did they vote with the Democrats and what percentage with the Republicans? What is their absentee record?
That may be a bigger indicator of how they will represent us in Washington!
We will certainly be looking at where candidates stand on the issues, and how they vote if currently holding office.
It was an open seat in '98. If Wilson-Foley gave to Larson then, the 'he was in office' line of BS is even more hollow.
It was, in theory, a good GOP year and the party had its best possible candidate for that open seat in decades.
Larson had a liberal voting record in the state senate prior to that election as well.
A conservative or even moderate?
Not Wilson-Foley.
